This photo exhibition by artist Nick Verhaege offers an immersion into the Marolles quarter of Brussels, a popular, historic and multicultural neighbourhood.
The artist worked with whatever he found locally: objects from the flea market, expired film and paper, and plants from the neighbourhood to create developers and make homemade cameras. These processes produce raw, imperfect images that reflect the soul of the neighbourhood: wear and tear, energy, vitality.
